A local car dealership did its part in helping hungry kids, and is challenging other local dealerships to do the same.

On Sunday, August 11, 2013, Eriksen’s Chevrolet in Milan, Illinois teamed up with Kids Against Hunger Your Quad Cities for its first packaging event.

Employees at the dealership packaged about 7,200 meals that will be sent to starving children in Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua, and the Quad Cities. After packaging the thousands of meals, they had a chance to sample the Kids Against Hunger Food.

A spokesperson from Eriksen Chevrolet said they are challenging other Quad City dealerships to support Kids Against Hunger Your Quad Cities to help reduce and hopefully eliminate hunger.

Dealerships responding to the challenge should contact Pam Gettert at 563-343-4783 or email kahyqc@aol.com.
