A father has been accused of the stabbing death of his 54-year-old son, according to a report by WHO.
On Friday, August 9, 2013, police say they were called to a house in Des Moines around 9 p.m. and found 54-year-old Floyd Loggins Jr. suffering from a stab wound, reported WHO. Resuscitation attempts were unsuccessful, and the man died from his injuries.
The victim’s father, 82-year-old Floyd Loggins Sr., was arrested and faced charges of first degree murder, according to the report. He was taken to the Polk County Jail.
WHO reported that this is the seventh homicide in Des Moines this year.
