They aren’t among the three jackpot winners, but two tickets sold in Illinois won $1-million in the Powerball drawing.
Lottery officials said more than four million tickets winning some prize were sold in advance of the drawing held Wednesday, August 7, 2013.
Three winning tickets matched all five numbers plus the Powerball number to share in the estimated $448-million jackpot from the August 7 drawing. Winning numbers were 58, 05, 25, 59, 30 and the Powerball was 32. Each winning ticket was worth an estimated $149,466,667.
Two tickets sold in Illinois matched five numbers but not the Powerball number, to win $1-million each. Illinois Lottery officials said those tickets were sold at Casey’s General Store in Canton and at an Amoco station in Round Lake.
Seven tickets sold in Illinois matched four numbers plus the Powerball number, to win $10,000 each. Five tickets sold in Iowa matched four numbers plus the Powerball number.
A total of 167,018 tickets sold in Illinois and 43,174 tickets sold in Iowa won some sort of prize in the Wednesday drawing.
The current estimated jackpot for the next Powerball drawing Saturday, August 10 was $40-million.
