Bureau County authorities said county and state investigators arrested a 28-year-old man for allegedly possessing child pornography.
Steven Bourey was arrested at his home in DePue, Illinois Tuesday, August 6, 2013.
Bureau County Sheriff John Thompson said the arrest followed a “lengthy investigation” by his office and members of the Illinois Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
“Initial analysis of the evidence indicated that Bourey was in possession of a large amount of child pornography,” Thompson said.
Bourey was charged with felony possession of child pornography. He was held in the Bureau County Jail pending his arraignment in court.
