The Davenport Police Department pulled a car out of the Mississippi River Tuesday.

It happened around 5 a.m. Crews found it at the corner of Concord Street and Miller Avenue. The intersection is just to the west of Credit Island Park.

Davenport Police also believe that the car was stolen. They say they've already talked to the owner of the black Chevy Tahoe. The owner told them their car was missing early Tuesday.

Davenport crews tell us that the keys were inside of the car when they pulled it out of the water. The tail lights were still on just a couple of minutes after they pulled it out. Police say cars have been dumped in this part of the river before.

Crews towed away the vehicle by about 6:30 a.m. Crews say that nobody was in the vehicle when it went in. Police do not have any suspect information at this time. They could release more information later Tuesday.
