Police bust man for heroin at Iowa 80 Truck Stop

An Iowa man was jailed after police said they found heroin in a vehicle and a woman who apparently overdosed in the parking lot of a truck stop in Walcott, Iowa.

An Iowa man was jailed after police said they found heroin in a vehicle and a woman who apparently overdosed in the parking lot of a truck stop in Walcott, Iowa.

Emergency responders were sent to a report of an unconscious and unresponsive woman in the parking lot of the the Iowa 80 Truck Stop at about 5:30 p.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013.  The 21-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to an area hospital for treatment of a possible drug overdose.

Police investigating the scene said they found about three grams of heroin packed in 15 individual bags along with eight needles, multiple lighters and three spoons with heroin on them in a vehicle related to the overdose call.

Michael Aagesen, 26, of Ames, was arrested.  Aagesen was charged with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance, felony possession of a controlled substance – third offense, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and misdemeanor prohibited acts.

Aagesen was held in the Scott County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash-only bond.
