Car windows shot out in Sterling

After neighbors reported the sound of shots fired, police discovered windows were shot out on several vehicles in Sterling, Illinois.

After neighbors reported the sound of shots fired, police discovered windows were shot out on several vehicles in Sterling, Illinois.

Police were called to the 400 block of 16th Avenue Monday night, August 5, 2013 after witnesses reported hearing six or seven shots fired in the area just before midnight.

Offices said they found two vehicles with windows shot out.

Later that same night, police were sent to the 600 block of West 7th Street after someone reported hearing at least one shot fired there.  Those officers found a vehicle that appeared to have its front side windows shot out.
