A Clinton woman was hospitalized for injuries she suffered in a reported dog attack, and now police are searching for the dog.
A 31-year-old woman said she was sitting on the curb in the 2200 block of North Sixth Street when she was attacked by a dog just after 11 a.m. Sunday, August 4, 2013.
The woman was treated at a local hospital for her injuries and later transferred to a hospital in Iowa City for further treatment.
Police said the dog involved was described as short-haired, stocky and dark in color. The dog was possibly wearing a blue collar, and was last seen running north from the location of the attack.
