Cameras capture photos of alleged electronics thieves

Police hope someone can help identify two men they say worked together to steal from a Geneseo electronics store.

Surveillance cameras in the store captured images of the theft, which reportedly happened just after 2 p.m. Monday, July 29, 2013.

Police said one of the men distracted the clerk at IDC Tech Center while the other man put a Nexus tablet under his shirt and walked out of the store.

Police said the man who allegedly took the tablet may also be connected to a similar incident over the winter involving the theft of a Toshiba computer from that same store.

The man who distracted the clerk wore a white t-shirt with a dark-colored design on the front.  He had light-colored, possibly blonde, hair cut in a short buzz cut.

The man who allegedly took the tablet wore a long-sleeved shirt and had short, dark hair and a full, dark beard.  In the wintertime theft, he wore a stocking cap and brown winter jacket.

Anyone with information about the thefts is asked to contact Henry County Crime Stoppers at (800) 227-2324.  Calls to Crime Stoppers are anonymous, and information that leads to an arrest could be eligible for a cash reward.
