Area kids got to harvest their hard work from a garden in Davenport.
Kids in the group, Skip-a-Long Child of the Genesis Health System, a program that promotes wellness and access to fresh produce, planted a garden during the spring.
On Friday, August 2, 2013, the kids came back to pick their produce. After the harvest, the kids got to use the vegetables in cooking projects at the Skip-a-Long Child Development Center.
