Kids day at the Mississippi Valley Fair was great not only because they all got in for free, but they also could participate in a tractor pull.
On Wednesday, July 31, kids competed for a trophy, seeing who could go the farthest on the mini-tractors.
In an effort to better balance the tractors at the 2013 fair, they were a bit harder to peddle. Instead of putting duct tape around the tires’ tread, organizers applied a plastic coating.
“You know it’s important because to get the kids involved in something here at the fair, said coordinator, Hans Schenkloth. They can compete with each other and have fun.”
On Wednesday, kids also got free ice cream and got to ride the rides for free.
