Thieves steal airbags from cars at Iowa dealerships

Police say thieves removed driver’s side airbags from vehicles at dealerships in Bettendorf and Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

Crime Stoppers of the Quad Cities posted information online indicating the thefts happened sometime between Saturday, July 27 and Monday, July 29, 2013 at Lindquist Ford at 3950 Middle Road in Bettendorf.   Vandals allegedly took airbags from seven Fords and one GM vehicle.

The post said a similar theft of airbags was also reported in Cedar Rapids.
