What started as a report of an injured child has become a full-on manhunt for a man from northeastern Iowa.
Police said they were called July 15, 2013 to a report of an injured child at the home of Troy Laufenberg, 20, and Emily Voshell, 18, in Monona, Iowa. The child was hospitalized, and police got a warrant to search that home July 19, 2013.
Police said evidence seized during that search led them to file charges against Laufenberg. He faces one count each of child endangerment, possession with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Iowa Department of Corrections records show Laufenberg is currently on probation for burglary.
Iowa State Police asked anyone with information about Laufenberg’s whereabouts to contact Special Agent Mike Krapfl at (563) 599-4239.
Police said the injured child remained hospitalized.
