Knox County man arrested in child porn investigation

A Yates City, Illinois man faces a dozen charges in connection with a child pornography investigation aimed at alleged Illinois offenders.

Investigators from the Illinois Attorney General’s Office and the Knox County Sheriff’s Department searched a Yates City home Thursday, July 25, 2013 as part of a child pornography investigation called Operation Glasshouse.  The operation targets people the state says are among Illinios’ most active child pornography offenders.

They arrested 54-year-old Kevin Martin at the home.

Martin is the 46th arrest made since Operation Glasshouse launched in 2010.

Martin is charged with four Class X counts of distribution of child pornography, four additional Class 1 counts of distribution of child pornography, three Class 2 counts of possession of child pornography, and one Class 3 count of possession of child pornography.

Martin was held in the Knox County Jail with bond set at $500,000.
