Three people were taken to the hospital after a driver did not stop at an intersection in Rock Falls, Illinois.
According to the Whiteside County Sheriff’s Office, shortly after 6 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2013, a 19-year-old woman drove through the intersection of Thome Road and Route 40 in Whiteside County.
Police said her 2003 Kia collided with a 1998 Ford Windstar carrying a 71-year-old driver and a 68-year-old passenger, causing the Ford to roll into a ditch, landing on its side.
The 71-year-old was removed from his vehicle by fire crews, according to police. Both drivers and the passenger were taken to the hospital for injuries.
Police say the 19-year-old driver was cited for disobeying a stop sign.
