  • The double rainbow after the brief rain Friday. Noticed the upper rainbow is a mirror image of the lower brighter one.

Some News 8 viewers saw a break in the sun on Friday, July 19, 2013 with some clouds.

A line of thunderstorms rolled over Rock Island and Whiteside Counties Friday evening, bringing brief but heavy rain.

The Quad Cities had five straight days of temperatures in the 90s from Monday through Friday, July 15 – July 19.
