A former Burlington man faces six months imprisonment for conspiring to sell marijuana for about three years.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, from 2008 to 2011, 28-year-old Derrick Dean Taylor conspired with others to sell drugs in the Burlington, Iowa area. Police searched his home in August of 2011, and found 23-pounds of marijuana, a digital scale, packaging material, drug paraphernalia, and a “significant amount of U.S. currency.”

Taylor will have three years of supervised release following his prison sentence. He also has been ordered to pay $100 toward the Crime Victims Fund.
