Fulton man dies in motorcycle crash

A 20-year-old Fulton, Illinois man died of injuries he suffered when his wrecked motorcycle slid a quarter-mile during a crash.

The wreck was reported just after 3 a.m. Thursday, July 18, 2013.  Police said 20-year-old Logan Williamson was riding a motorcycle southbound on Chase Road when the motorcycle was laid down.

Police said the motorcycle skidded a “considerable distance” before Williamson was ejected.  The motorcycle came to rest in a driveway approximately a quarter-mile from the point where it was laid down.

Williamson was taken by a private vehicle to a local hospital.  He was later transferred to the University of Iowa Hospital where he died.
