Burglars who might think they got away with stealing money and defecating on the floor at a Des Moines Goodwill store might want to think again.

The Des Moines Register reports about $2,000 was stolen from the Goodwill thrift store at 3251 Euclid Avenue sometime between Monday night, July 15, 2013 and the following morning.   The refrigerator had also reportedly been ransacked and someone reportedly defecated on the office floor.

The report said two employees who had recently resigned from the store were listed as possible suspects.

The report said a store manager told police that even though the recording disc had been removed from the store’s security system, the video was stored in two places and footage could still be available.
