Workers will spend much of July and most of August painting the bridge that carries Interstate 80 traffic over Interstate 88.

The Illinois Department of Transportation contracted Three Star Painting to do the work starting Monday, July 15, 2013.  The contract cost the state $470,983.

Although traffic will be able to get by the work, motorists can expect delays for lane closures on Interstate 88 as workers paint the bridge overhead.

The project is expected to be finished by the end of August 2013.
