Since 2000, TPC Deere Run has hosted the John Deere Classic and through the years changes have been made to the course. An improvement made for this year, has been very helpful.

Behind the 18th green, 43 steps were added to make another way to get down the hill on the backside.

"They're great. They look solid, they're sturdy, and they're safe," said Chris Gaskell.

"I think it gives another safety opportunity for people that cannot go down the incline and the steps with the railings work a lot better," Willie Ellis said.

The steps were installed by Uncommon Ground landscapes just before the tournament started. They will be a permanent fixture at the course.
