The University of Illinois alum made six birdies and hit one bogey, contributing to a total of 66.

“It’s been three weeks since I’ve last played so it’s always kind of a learning process that I’m going through,” he said. “It was a better day today and I’m getting a little more confidence each and every day.”

Stricker will enter Round three at nine-under par.
