A bicyclist riding along the river reported finding a woman’s body in the water in Davenport, Iowa.
The discovery was reported around 8 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2013. Paramedics, Davenport Police, and the Davenport Fire Department all reported to the scene.
The body was reported in the water near the shore, about 200 yards downstream from the Crescent Bridge. Police initially confirmed the body was a woman, and later identified her as 29-year-old Jennifer Cooney of Davenport.
An autopsy was scheduled to take place in Iowa City.
