Thousands of dollars worth of firearms were reportedly stolen when the L and L Arms store in rural Orion, Illinois was burglarized.

The burglary was reported just before 5 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. The store is located between Coal Valley and Orion on Highway 150. A statement from Henry County Crime Stoppers said two suspects forced their way into the building and removed several guns.

Sheriff Jim Padilla says seven guns were taken, including an AK-47 and AR-15-type rifle.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the suspects, who both appeared to be male, and their vehicle.

Both suspects wore something to cover their faces.  One of the suspects wore a light-colored jacket and was possibly wearing glasses.  The other suspect wore a Dale Earnhardt Jr. jacket with a large number 8 on the front.

“Any time firearms are taken by criminals it raises the danger to both the public and to law enforcement,” the Crime Stoppers statement said.

Anyone with information about the burglary or the suspects should call Henry County Crime Stoppers at (800) 227-2324.  Calls are anonymous and information that leads to an arrest could earn a cash reward.
