A man died after falling into a large grain bin near Dayton, Iowa.
Our sister station WHO-TV reported rescuers were called to the bin in the 3400 block of Oak Avenue just before 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013.
The victim was reportedly working to remove corn from the bin when he fell and became trapped in the bin.
Rescuers had to cut holes in the sides of the bin to release corn and get to the victim. It reportedly took them about 90 minutes to recover the man’s body.
An autopsy was scheduled for Wednesday, July 10.
The name of the man who died was not yet released.
