St. Ambrose Academy celebrates 30-year reunion

The all-class reunion held at St. Ambrose University was a chance for the graduates of the all-boys school to get together and talk about the old days.

Graduates from St. Ambrose Academy celebrated their 30-year reunion.

The all-class reunion was held at St. Ambrose University with special recognition for the classes of 1943, 1948, 1953, and 1958.

The reunion’s organizer, Tom Otting, said it’s a chance for the graduates of the all-boys school to get together and talk about the old days.

“We did have a very close-knit group of guys,” said Otting, who graduated in 1954. “Academy guys stick together.”

Otting said it was a pretty tough school, which became Assumption High School in 1958.

The earliest graduate at the reunion was from the class of 1936.
