Where to Park for Red, White and Boom

Where to park and what traffic to avoid for this year’s Red, White and Boom

With flooding and high river levels, a lot of things have changed for this year's Red, White and Boom celebrations.  Fireworks will be launched from Centennial Bridge causing the Iowa bound lanes to be closed starting tomorrow morning.  The higher launch point means the fireworks can be seen from a variety of places this year.

If you still plan to head downtown for the celebrations, here are some of your parking options.

Parking is free on the Rock Island side in the city parking lots, on city streets and on the Rock Island downtown parking ramp.

Parking in Davenport is free on streets, and will cost $5 on all parking ramps.

If you would like to park away from the madness, the Loop will run a free shuttle between LeClaire Park in Davenport and Schwiebert Riverfront Park in Rock Island from 6 p.m.

Traffic will also be detoured in Davenport due to flooding.  All traffic will be routed east on River Drive and north on Brady Street.

Admission to the event is free.  For more information on this event, click here.
