A 30-year-old Rock Island, Illinois man died after he was shot and taken to a hospital in Davenport, Iowa.
Police said the man suffered life-threatening injuries when he was shot in the 200 block of East 14th Street. The victim was taken by private vehicle to an area hospital at about 11:45 p.m. Monday, July 1, 2013.
He had surgery at the hospital but did not survive.
The man’s name was withheld pending notification of his family.
Investigators were continuing to interview witnesses, and asked anyone with information about the shooting to contact Davenport Police.
