A fitness center in Moline held an outdoor fitness day to benefit a local food bank.

Fitness Xpress near Avenue of the Cities collected food donations for the River Bend Foodbank on Saturday, June 29. Anyone who brought two cans of food gained free admission to classes and activities at the gym.

“We’re doing something we love to help people that maybe can’t afford to even eat to come and maybe work out at a gym and support themselves,” said gym member, Amanda Wangler.

The River Bend Foodbank has distributed over 70 million-pounds of food over the past three decades.
