Along with your typical fair food, the Iowa State Fair will be featuring some not-so-typical food items.
According to the fair’s event website, the fair will include 200 food stands and more than 60 foods on-a-stick. One new item this year will be a Shrimp Corndog which is three shrimp deep fried in corndog batter and topped with a jalepeno glaze.
Another new item is a Smoothie On-a-Stick which is simply a frozen smoothie stuck to a stick so you can eat it on-the-go.
Other new items will be Bacon Wrapped Riblet on-a-stick, Fried Brownie on-a-stick, Soft Salted Chocolate-Dipped Almond Pretzel On-a-stick, and a Sweet Corn Corndog.
