Riverside Pool Not Likely To Open Yet

This is an archived article and the information in the article may be outdated. Please look at the time stamp on the story to see when it was last updated.

The city of Moline is not likely to reopen the Riverside Pool Saturday, as previously planned.

The pool still looked a bit off color Friday morning. Workers told us there is still a bit of sand in the bottom of the pool, but they're working to get that cleaned.

As previously reported, mud is believed to have slid down a neighboring hill during the Monday morning rain. That's caused crews to close the pool for the past four days. Since then, crews have had to put chemicals into the pool to clean it out.

City workers could be giving us an update Friday as to whether or not the pool will be open this weekend. They also say it may not open until as late as Monday.

Admission costs $7 a person while a family of five costs just $30 total. Moline's Riverside Pool is located on 4th avenue on the east side.

The pool will announce when the pool will reopen on their Twitter feed.
