Two Morrison men were arrested after they allegedly burglarized properties belonging to a church.

Two Morrison men were arrested after they allegedly burglarized properties belonging to a church.

A spokesperson for Morrison Police said buildings at 125 West Main Street and at 201 West Market Street were burglarized Sunday, June 9, 2013.  A computer monitor, keyboard, video game system and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken.

Both locations belong to Crossroads Community Church.

Colton Merema, 18, of Morrison, was arrested Saturday, June 22, 2013 in connection with the burglaries.  Jeremy Shaner, 21, also of Morrison, was arrested the next day.  Police said the men each face two felony counts of burglary.

Merema and Shaner were both held in the Whiteside County Jail.
