Fort Dodge, Iowa Red Cross office vandalized

Police said burglars damaged and stole property during an apparent break in at the American Red Cross offices in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Workers arrived at the office at 20 North 16th Street Friday morning, June 21, 2013 to find a front office window broken and classrooms damaged.

An SUV, a large flat-screen TV and a laptop were reported stolen in the burglary.  The SUV, marked with Red Cross insignia, has since been recovered.

The burglary was not expected to affect services offered by the Fort Dodge facility.  The Fort Dodge office covers Pocahontas, Humboldt, Wright, Calhoun, Webster and Hamilton counties.
