An art conference, One State Together, is showcasing diversity of the arts in Illinois.

According to the event website, “One State Together in the Arts is the only statewide, multidisciplinary conference for arts leaders.” The conference will display work from several artists and presenters in the Quad Cities and will take place Monday and Tuesday, June 24 and 25.

There will be ten presenters, and the Keynote presenter will be Theaster Gates. Gates is an artist and urban planner who places emphasis on the importance of community.

The One State bus will travel from Rock Island to Davenport where the open houses will be for people to view. In Rock Island, The ARTery and Quad City Arts and in Davenport, Bucktown Center for the Arts, the Figge Art Museum, and River Music Experience will be part of the conference.

The event is organized every other year by Arts Alliance Illinois and the Illinois Arts Council Agency.
