Reaching top speeds of 45 miles-per-hour, members of The United States Lawn Mower Racing Association took to the track at the Henry County Fair Wednesday night.

The league, now in its 21st year, held races at the fairgrounds in Cambridge, Illinois for the very first time.

Scott Tornow, treasurer of the Tampico Lawn Mower Racing Association said it's a competitive sport that satisfies a "need for speed."

"It's a big thrill," said Tornow. "It's a lot of fun."

The Henry County Fair runs through Sunday.
