This year’s invitational golf tournament will help raise money to complete a new Teen Center for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley.

Event organizers say they’re accepting registrations now for the 2013 Golf Invitational, set for Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Short Hills Country Club in East Moline, Illinois.

The Invitational has helped raise more than $1.2 million for the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Valley.

Money raised this year will help them complete and operate their new Teen Center/Club-Choice.  The center combines traditional Boys and Girls Club programs with career and job skills development opportunities.  The center will also house a full-service bank which will be open to the entire community.  In addition to banking services, the Club’s bank will offer financial literacy education to the community.

The center is located in the Floreciente neighborhood in Moline, Illinois.

Prizes for this year’s event include playing spots and tickets to the John Deere Classic, custom golf equipment
