Police say a Muscatine city employee has been sentenced after taking thousands from the city.
On Friday, June 14, 2013 the Muscatine County District Court sentenced 53-year-old Diana Fry after an investigation revealed she had taken about $15,000, according to the Muscatine County Attorney.
The court gave the Muscatine woman a suspended prison sentence of not to exceed ten years and a fine of $1,000, according to the report.
Fry had worked as a clerical employee in the finance department.
The Muscatine County Attorney said Fry paid $8,500 in a lump sum to the Clerk of Court at her sentencing on Friday.
Fry was sentenced for the offense of Theft in the First Degree.
