It is estimated that contents lost in a fire in Moline, Illinois is valued at about $25,000.
Smoke was visible for several blocks as fire damaged two neighboring homes in the 4800 block of Avenue of the Cities.
The fire was reported at about noon Friday, June 14, 2013 at a home near the Avenue of the Cities Kmart store.
The fire reportedly started in the garage of one home, and spread through that structure and to the house next door.
It took firefighters more than a half hour to bring the blaze under control.
The American Red Cross of the Quad Cities had volunteers respond to help residents displaced by the fire.
No injuries were reported.
