Two drivers were air lifted to a Peoria Hospital after a crash in McDonough County.

The Illinois State Police said a Dodge Grand Caravan traveling west on McDonough County 1050 N. on

Friday, June 7, 2013 and did not stop at the intersection of CR 1050 N. and US Rt. 67.

A Ford Focus was heading south on US Rt. 67 and was unable to avoid the Grand Caravan in the

intersection, hitting the passenger side, according to the report. The incident happened around 6p.m.

The southbound driver in the Focus was taken to McDonough District Hospital and later air lifted to a

Peoria hospital, where the other driver had been taken, according to the report.

Police say both drivers were wearing seatbelts. They determined the cause was a disobeyed stop sign.

No charges have been filed at this time.
