Pirate ship made completely out of recycled materials

They say one man’s trash is another man’s treasure. That may be the case for an Iowa company that built a pirate ship out of recycled materials.

Rich Metals Company in Blue Grass built a 45-foot long ship made completely out of recycled metals.

“We’ll do some local parades, the guys are looking forward to trying to do the Halloween parade in Davenport so they have some ideas that they’re going to add to it,” said Donna Porter, Vice President of Rich Metals. “After October it will probably be scrapped then we will start planning for next year.”

The project took more than 200-hours to complete.

It will be on display at Blue Grass’ annual Homecoming Days.
