There were minor stretches of River Drive in Davenport already open Friday morning.
Crews have already opened up eastbound traffic from 3rd Street to 4th Street. Some cars were spotted heading east of 4th Street on River Drive too. There's no word on how far eastbound traffic can go Friday morning.
The rest of River Drive should open up Friday afternoon. It had been closed for the past 10 days because of the torrential rain of late May. River Drive should be open all the way through by the time people leave work Friday.
Crews removed some of the last hesco barriers Thursday. They're also moving pumps, equipment, and barrels that are still on the street Friday.
River Drive will still be down to just one lane of traffic in each direction at both Marquette and Mound Streets. Water is still on the street near Marquette, and crews are still doing construction near The Village of East Davenport.
