After the Credit Island Lodge in Davenport caught fire early in May, supporters of the Island said they wanted the Lodge back.
On Wednesday, June 5, a meeting was held to announce that a task force had been established to determine the next step in what to do with the fire-damaged Lodge.
First Ward Alderman, Nathan Brown said the 15-member task force was set up to provide recommendations of what to do with the lodge. A meeting date has not yet been set.
“First and foremost I want to see that what is currently being provided at Credit Island remains at Credit Island, as far as the kitchen, the space available and the restrooms that are provided,” said Brown. “That’s the biggest thing that I want to make sure we maintain at the island.”
