The Quad Cities PrideFest wrapped up on Sunday, June 2 after a two day event.
In downtown Davenport a community came together to support human dignity and equality, as the QC Pride website states.
A couple at the festival over the first weekend of June 2013 said pride to them is not getting married until every person in every state can.
This year’s festival came four years after Iowa legalized same-sex marriage, and just one day after Illinois rejected it.
Patrons at the festival enjoyed the vendors and entertainment while rallying together after the Illinois House decided they would reopen the matter of same-sex marriage in the fall.
