Valley Construction Accepting Donations for Oklahoma Residents

If you are looking for ways to donate to the relief efforts in Oklahoma, there is still time.

Valley Construction Company of Rock Island is sending a loaded semi-van trailer full of much needed supplies to Oklahoma. Valley is partnered with Heritage Wesleyan Church, which is being used as a drop-off point for donated items.

The trailer is located at Heritage’s Rock Island location at 4801-44th Street until June 7th. Drop-offs can be made during business hours. Donations are also being accepted at the church's Bettendorf location on Middle Road.

Items that are needed include: boxes for packaging, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes, combs, shampoo, soap, sunscreen, baby bottles, formula, diapers, wipes, shovels, rakes, brooms, dust-pans, trash bags, gloves, soap, hand cleaner, flashlights, batteries, toilet paper, paper towels, towels, paper plates, plastic utensils, cups, Zip Lock bags, bug spray, individual bags of snacks, cleaning supplies, mops, buckets, working chainsaws, generators.

Organizers say water is NOT needed at this time.
