Local softball teams went to Oklahoma for a tournament, but games were cancelled after another storm rolled through the area.

Before they left, the Quad City Firebirds gathered donations for the tornado victims. After Oklahoma was hit again on Friday, May 13, 2013 the team members took photos of the damage, describing the scene as looking like a bomb went off.

“I can’t handle anymore because it’s devastating down here,” said team mom, Michele Workman. “There’s a lot more damage, a lot of the places that were taking donations got hit so all those donations got damaged.”

The Firebirds donations were not affected.
