An Illinois teen was killed by lightning, according to investigators.

A report by WGN said 17-year-old Jennie Dizon was discovered on the ground late in the afternoon on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at a Park in Downers Grove, Illinois, a western suburb of Chicago. According to the report she was found unconscious and not breathing.

Paramedics could not revive her and she was pronounced dead. There were no signs of foul play.

According to the DuPage County Coroner’s office, the teen appears to have died of electrocution consistent with a lightning strike.

Dizon was a senior at Benet Academy, preparing to graduate in two days. WGN said a source close to the victim said she may have been in the park because of her interest in photography.
