The Riverboat Development Authority could release who it wants to build a new casino in Davenport Friday.

As previously reported, the city of Davenport wants to build a $150 million casino at the I-280 and I-80 interchange. It plans to work with Rodney Blackwell of Financial District Properties and the Davenport Casino Group on the deal.

However, the Riverboat Development Authority is the group that took over the casino process back in March. It is also the group tasked with giving a new casino a gaming license.

Friday, the RDA will break down four of the six proposals that they like the most. Then, the RDA task force will recommend one of those proposals to the entire board. The board could then vote on that proposal, or they could table it. The meeting starts at 1 p.m. at Keppy Hall at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds.

The city of Davenport will also discuss suing over the casino situation. They meet Friday night at 5:30 in a closed door meeting.
