Flood damaged school in Galesburg to reopen Monday

After enduring severe flood damages, Carl Sandburg College has plans to reopen.

After enduring severe flood damages, Carl Sandburg College has plans to reopen.

A spokesperson from the school said all classes and regular business operations will resume Monday, June 3, 2013 at 8 a.m.

On Tuesday the lower levels of Buildings C,D, and E on the Main Campus in Galesburg were damaged from flash flooding. Restoration work and cleanup began on Thursday.

Offices used for advising, business, financial aid, Gale Scholars, records and registration, social and business sciences/humanities and fine arts, student services, student succes, TRIO Student Support Services, and TRIO Upward Bound have been temporarily relocated due to damages.

Anyone needing to reach these offices are asked to call 309-344-2518 or visit the Sandburg Welcome Center in room B09 for direction.
