Four Iowa teens now face charges in connection with car burglaries in Mediapolis.
Police initially charged 16-year-olds Mica Vanamerongen and Casey Lerdal, both of Mt. Pleasant, with three counts of third-degree burglary. The girls are accused of breaking into several vehicles in the 100 blocks of N. Harrison and Centennial.
Police said further investigation led them to file more charges in the case.
Lerdal was also charged with providing false identification information.
Police said they also charged 16-year-old Alexander Guzman and 17-year-old Austin Maddox, both of Mediapolis. The teens were each charged with three counts of third-degree burglary.

Two teenage girls were arrested after police say they broke-in to multiple cars in Mediapolis, Iowa.
According to the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office, the 16-year-olds from Mt. Pleasant, Iowa were taken into custody on Tuesday, May 21, 2013.
Each girl was charged with three counts of burglary third degree, police say.
The investigation into the car burglaries is ongoing.
