A Chicago man broke the world record for the world’s longest ferris wheel ride.
According to WGN, Clinton Shepard, the operation manager at Navy Pier, rode the ferris wheel there for over 30-hours without sleeping. He completed his record on the evening of Saturday, May 19, 2013.
Shepard isn’t satisfied with his 30-hour accomplishment. He says he will keep riding until he sets the world record at 48-hours.
To make the world-mark, Shepard was allowed a five minute break every hour.
After the event was finished, Navy Pier held a fireworks show.
